First Communion Program
** For children Pre-K3 through 3rd Grade (ages 3-8)
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori method of catechetical formation held in a prepared and sacred environment, called an Atrium, that introduces children to Jesus, the Good Shepherd. Through extended work time with prepared materials, children come to know and love Jesus, the Good Shepherd, grow in wonder of the liturgy, and immerse themselves in the Word of God. Children are either in a Level 1 (ages 3-5) or Level 2 (ages 6-8) Atrium. Preparation for First Communion is open to Level 2 children who have already completed a year in the Level 2 Atrium and will begin in Spring 2025.
